We have several types of Kayak to try out for several types of paddling.
This assortment are basically short river boats which turn easily and surf white water when suitably skilled paddlers use them.

Making Air-Waves Interviewed at home
The club was approached by Radio Scotland during the summer, and were asked to help set up a kayaking challenge for the Fred McAuley show. Each week it runs a battle of the sexes section where he sends out 2 of his researchers to take part in various challenges.
We were only given 48 hours notice, but Heather came up trumps and gave both the researchers, neither of whom had kayaked before, a quick lesson on the basics. The poor fella even put on his wetsuit back to front initially, then they had a short race. It was a good opportunity to get some positive publicity for the club as Heather was interviewed by Fred.
