Weekend trip to Inchcailloch (Loch Lomond) planned for Sat 18 September.
Suitable for all abilities. Please speak to Alison or myself regarding children under 14. We'll paddle across to Inchcailloch leaving Balmaha about 10.00am ish on Saturday, set up camp and the afternoon/evening will be free to paddle/explore the island. We'll return about lunchtime/early afternoon on Sunday but times will be flexible. Day trippers welcome too. A ferry runs from Balmaha for those who want to come along but don't want to paddle. We have exclusive use of the island. You'll need camping equipment, but please discuss with us if you don't have this. All kayaking equipment can be supplied by club. Cost to be decided but likely to be small e.g £5 per person and transport will be shared and we'll try to accommodate those who don't have transport. Please let myslef of Alison know via the forum, at a club evening or to my email address at Ianandlornaking@yahoo.co.uk. Lorna |

Count us both in for the foundation safety. If you promise to be nicer to me this time, I might try a river trip again (31 October Sunday). Had some good sea kayaking coaching this weekend - I think i might eventually have learned my right from my left! Lorna

how about regular beginner river trips (for adults & older juniors) to keep the interest going???? or is there not the demand for this from folk...
was at the tay at the weekend and there was a big beginners group of (mainly) kids there, be good if our club could do something like this, make it more interesting than 'just' pool sessions. obviously dependent on coaches giving up their time and a demand for trips. |

Hi there - if you have been trying to use the forum, please bear with us. We've been hit by a lot of spam requests and I'm trying to find a way of weeding out legitimate users. If you want to use the forum but are having problems, you might want to let me, Alison, Steve or Fraser know either on Tuesday nights or by our personal contact details. Apologies,
Lorna |

Steve, Ian and I are still in. Can we check there will be enough water? Don't fancy a wasted journey. Just back from a trip up north - not a jot in most rivers, although I know the Tay is a bit different.
